Directional Boards

The Directional is our most popular model, this board has been ridden on the Freeride World Tour by Jon Penfield

The TahoeLab Directional is designed to shred every inch of the mountain, from hidden pow stashes to steep chutes or just racing your friends back
to the bottom. A hard charging board that can handle everything you could throw at it. The tapered shape and setback stance provide excellent flotation in soft snow and the short tail makes the board very maneuverable in tight trees or chutes.

Directional Solid
Our most popular board. Built for big mountains.

All boards are shaped with traditional camber between the bindings and early-rise tip and tail.

Flex rating 8/10

The solid and splitboard are made with two layers of tri-axial fiberglass and two layers of carbon fiber wrapped around a light and snappy bamboo core. For our lightest and highest preformance splitboard check out the Phantom construction split.

Splitboards come with Karakorum tip/tail and Ultraclip board clips.

Please note: We craft our boards one at a time so the graphic colors and design may slightly differ from what is shown

MATERIALS

Bamboo Core

Bamboo has a great strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for lighter, snappier boards and is the most renewable core material currently available. Our bamboo is responsibly harvested and FSC certified.

Edgeless Tip

and Tail

By removing the edge from the tip and tail area of our boards we have lightened the swing weight and reduced the chance of the boards getting hung up on rocks in a tight chute. Our edgeless tip and tail is also easier to repair if it gets damaged.

UHMW Sidewalls

UHMW (P-tex) sidewalls are recognized throughout the snowboard industry for providing durable edge protection and damping out vibrations while riding.

Sintered Base

TahoeLab boards use DuraSurf™ sintered base material, which offers superior toughness and resistance to rock damage as well as providing excellent wax absorption and a super fast ride.

Aerospace Carbon

At TahoeLab we use full sheets of aerospace grade carbon fiber in every board. Adding carbon fiber gives our boards a livelier flex, reduces the overall weight, and prevents them from losing their strength and pop after seasons of hard riding.
